Packing an entire site onto a single page might sound like a bad idea at first, since it limits your options. However, it can make sense for certain small-scale projects, cutting down on unnecessary clutter.

Provided the different sections are clearly defined, and with the addition of custom scrolling effects, the streamlined space can make it easier for visitors to find what they’re looking for.

Single Page Sample Site

Build

This was done as an experiment to show clients how much can be achieved with a single page site.

The header contains a counter which animates when the page first loads and the menu items scroll smoothly to the relevant section when clicked.

There is a gallery and the conferences section has a 'filter by category' feature, enabling users to quickly find relevant content.

Recipe:

  • Bootstrap
  • HTML5/CSS3/jQuery
